The sun rose quickly in the east. My late arrival the evening before left me unprepared for the sunrise. The area along Cima Road is home to one of the largest and densest Joshua Tree forests in the world. Without scouting, I figured that I would probably be able to eye a few pre-dawn compositions on the fly. Most of my images from this morning didn’t include the road in the shot, but this is one of my favorites.
