St. Mary Lake // Montana
Myself, a photographer from Colorado, and another from Tasmania, watched (and photographed) an incredibly dramatic sunset behind Wild Goose Island. As we looked on, a Native American lady told us about the about the relationship between this land and the Blackfoot Indian people, who are native to the northern Montana area. It was surreal to see the beauty of the land they’ve loved for hundreds of years – and hear the history behind it at the same time.
